Video has almost become the most important strategy in
online marketing right now.
Research is showing that:
- Online video now accounts for 50% of all mobile traffic
- 78% of people watch video every week
- 69% of business professionals have used video marketing
As a specialist in video marketing with over 700 videos on
YouTube (www.youtube.com/salestips
) I have found that video has the following advantages:
- You can make great quality videos with inexpensive cameras (even Iphones), a good microphone and I use Camtasia Studio for the video editing which is really easy to use.
- By putting the right keywords into the title, description and tags of the video in YouTube and then promoting it with Google+, you would be surprised at how quickly it ranks in a Google search (Google of course owns YouTube & Google+, so will rank it fast)
- YouTube research shows that the average watching time on a video is 36 seconds, so you need to get your message across in the first few seconds. A good formula to follow for a business video is to start with what the video is about, move on to challenges (your prospect may be facing), come up with the solution (your company) and then the call to action (what to do to buy your product or service.
By combining the power of stories, music & emotion you
will create a video that can go viral.
YouTube is of course the place to host all your videos, but
to rank here are 15 factors that YouTube takes into account:
1 – Keywords in the title
2 – Total video views
3 – Total embeds
4 – Total channel views
5 – Number of comments
